Engagement Tracking (Heartbeat API)

We track reading engagement to calculate writer revenue shares fairly. Here's how it works:

  • A timer starts when you open an article
  • The timer only runs during active scrolling and interaction
  • After 10 seconds of inactivity, the timer stops
  • Every 30 seconds of active reading time, a secure heartbeat is sent to our servers
  • This data is used solely for engagement calculations and writer payouts

Engagement data has a 24-48 hour latency before appearing in writer analytics.

  • Payment Processors: Razorpay processes your payments securely. We share necessary payment information to complete transactions.
